What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We charge $50 per cubic yard for residential service, with a $100 minimum charge. That would cover a curbside couch, mattress or appliance. We haul items using a hydraulic dump trailer which has a box that is 12ft long, 6 ft high & 5ft walls and can hold 10,000lbs. We charge $625 for a full load, $350 for a half load. And as always, we offer a 10% DISCOUNT FOR CURBSIDE JUNK PICKUP & 5% DISCOUNT FOR MILITARY & SENIORS. In some cases, labor cost may be added due to factors which increase the time, weight or danger of the job.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The customer reaches out to us, we get an idea of what needs hauled. Sometimes we can provide prices upon a description, other times we may require pictures or an in person inspection in order to provide you with a price. We offer free estimates, 10% DISCOUNT for curbside junk pickup. 5% DISCOUNT for military & seniors.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We train our crew on lifting techniques and workplace safety. Our crew communicates in order to prevent injury during lifting and carrying items and have handled just about everything so we know what to look out for in most cases. We have a very strong group and always impress our customers on how fast and strong we are. We continue to learn biohazard safety, chemicals handling and first aid.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

We formed to provide a local service for our local community. We live in the metro area and love having the opportunity to make a difference in someone's life. Whether it's simply taking something away for them or clearing a space they haven't seen in years. We get the chance to make a real change every day.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We work with every type of person. From the renters or homeowners that just need a couple items hauled off to large scale hoarding/squatter damage and remnants to contractors that need their sites kept clean. We do it all really. While we are in business to make money, it's just as important that our customers feel as if they paid the right price and were treated great!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We have created many relationships with fellow portlanders over the years and have become the name they trust when they need a junk removal company. But we have come to take care of their yard debris, brush clearing, property cleanups, construction cleanup and many other type of cleanup or hauling services. We are proud to do it too. Any thing from blackberry bush removal to carpet removal or just your standard mattress pickup. We can do it all.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Don't just take the lowest price. Cross reference that with their reviews, images and length of time in business. Especially on this app, you could be talking to anyone. It's important to ensure whoever you choose, will properly dispose of all waste. We've cleaned up many illegal dumping sites from some of the very customer's items we've talked to here. But they chose the cheaper person.... We offer affordable rates which in many cases, we can apply discounts to be even more competitive while being able to pay the costs to properly dispose of waste. Professionalism should come at a cost. You don't want just any random person in your home and we understand. Our crew is careful, friendly, attentive and will involve you as little or as much as you'd like to be involved. We pride ourselves on communication and making our customers the happiest customers possible. We believe that you have to make your customers happy. What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

We recommend asking if a company is licenced and insured. This way you aren't vulnerable to being sued do to injury on your property and covered for any damages that could occur. Nothing would be worse than hiring a company only to be left holding the bag when it comes to property damage or personal injury. Another thing to think of is how the company or person will dispose of the items they haul. Will it go to recycling centers? The dump? Reused or donated? This way you can rest easy knowing your items are sitting on the side of the road a few miles away.
